Over the weekend the Canterbury Rowing Association took 50 athletes, 2 coaches, and 1 manager to Twizel to compete at the Annual Interprovincial Championships. This was the largest team we have ever put together on the back of an extremely strong winter program run by Regional Coaches, Tim Hopkins & Fiona McKay (supported by Glen Paterson and Justin Wall).

With 18 events on offer at the Championships, the CRA team took out an impressive 14 titles, winning the interprovincial trophy.

The CRA thanks Mainland and Meridian Energy for supporting the team and the winter program. We also thank Avon Rowing Club, Canterbury Rowing Club, Ashburtin Rowing Club, Timaru Rowing Club, Criahead Rowing and Christchurch Boys High School Rowing for use of equipment and facilities for the program.
